Our 2018 Snow Angel Award Winner!
Congratulations to Charlie Hinds, who won the $100 gift certificate of his choice on April 2nd from the Ward 8 Community Action Network!
Charlie’s name was drawn from the names of Ward 8 residents who were submitted by family, friends or neighbours to recognize individuals who help to clear snow during the winter.
Charlie is in his upper years, yet continues to help clear driveways on his street with his quad. Nine people nominated Charlie – which shows how much he is appreciated.
The Ward 8 CAN has been running the Snow Angel Award for two years. The award acknowledges the Ward 8 individuals who go the extra mile to help their neighbours who otherwise would have difficulty in keeping their driveways clear, or accessing a path or trail, or standing safely at a bus stop.
