Type of garden
We offer a mixed gardening experience. The Garden primarily grows produce to share with neighbourhoods.
Configuration
- Garden area is protected with chain link fencing.
- 4’ x 8’ plots: fresh produce grown by youth participants for citizens in need
- 4’ x 4’ plots: private gardeners, $20 seasonal donation
- 8’ x 16’ in-ground bed: "Squash and Friends" garden (squash & beans)
- 4’ x 16’ in-ground bed: "The Potato Box" garden
Cost to participate
- Your donations provide supplies and support our Benevolent Produce Sharing Program.
- 4’ x 4’ plot: private gardeners, $20
- 4’ x 8’ plot: private gardeners, $40
- Community Sponsorships: $100 per garden. Please contact Paulette for details.
- No cost to community volunteers (i.e. the many non-gardeners who give of their time to tend the Garden).
- We welcome new gardeners, volunteers and 4-H youth members!
Amenities
- Water tap with industrial hose & watering system
- Rain barrels with watering cans
- Picnic table; benches and extra chairs
- No chemical gardening (no spraying); mainly organic and/or heritage seeds; untreated seedlings; as “organic” as possible.

- Access to community centre for hall bookings (based on current regulations).
- Splash pad
- Play centre, swings, and benches
- Outdoor adult fitness equipment
- Walking paths
