UPDATED! Ward 8 CAN meeting, 7 pm Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Twin Forks Playground
Our next CAN meeting will be held next Wednesday, November 19, at 7 pm at Twin Forks Playground on Gary Street.
This meeting will be an opportunity for you to meet your councillor elect Al Sizer, to voice your priorities for our new Council and to speak to issues in the ward. We would also love to have you identify projects that you’d like to see happen in 2015.
Also of importance – Cambrian College is launching a new strategic plan for 2015-2019 that aims to engage EVERYONE in the conversation regarding the future of post-secondary education. A brief 5 minute overview of the strategic planning process including ways to get involved will be provided in addition to a short engagement activity for community members to share their feedback and inform the process.
As with all of our meetings, a member of the Greater Sudbury Police Service will be there to provide ward updates and answer any concerns that you may have.
We’ll also provide updates on our Twin Forks rejuvenation projects, on the community gardens going in at Twin Forks, and on our participation in the Santa Claus parade.
Three CAN Executive members will also be attending the yearly CAN summit on November 12. We’ll provide you with some updates as to what was discussed there.
As always, you can express any concerns that you may have and we’ll ensure that those concerns are communicated to the appropriate city department.
