Ward 8 CAN meeting, 7 pm Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Twin Forks Playground
Our next CAN meeting will be held next Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 7 pm at Twin Forks Playground (corner of Gary Street and Madison Avenue, Greater Sudbury).
Our guest is the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation. The GSDC is seeking feedback from residents in regards to the “From the Ground Up” community consultation process, which is part of Mayor Bigger’s #gs2025 initiative. “#gs2025 is a community consultation process developed by the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation and the City of Greater Sudbury to engage our community on our collective future in the City of Greater Sudbury. We need to hear your ideas, big and small to develop a plan and community vision. We believe that together we can build a Greater Sudbury in 2025 that will reflect the diversity of our citizens and economy alike. Let’s dream big and work together to set out a plan, then implement those ideas. Together we can shape our city from the ground up.” http://www.gs2025.ca/
Also on our agenda is the regular update from the Greater Sudbury Police Service, and updates on our 2015 CAN projects, including our community gardens and our community festival. Bring your ideas!
A community consultation session has also been scheduled on March 24th in regards to Healthy Community Initiatives funds. We will be seeking your input in order to present our feedback at the session.
Al Sizer, our Ward Councillor, will be there with an update on the happenings at Tom Davies Square.
As always, you can express any concerns that you may have and we’ll ensure that those concerns are communicated to the appropriate city department.
Bring your friends and family!
