Ward 8 CAN Meeting, 7 pm, Wednesday June 18, at Twin Forks Playground
Our next CAN meeting will be held next Wednesday, June 18 at 7 pm at Twin Forks Playground on Gary Street.
This is our last meeting before our summer break. We’ll be providing an update on our community garden project, and on other ward issues.
We also want to hear from you if there’s any projects, activities or events that you want us to undertake next year.
Our Greater Sudbury Police Services Community Response Offi cers will also be at the meeting to talk about any concerns that you may have.
As always, you can express any concerns that you may have and we’ll ensure that those concerns are communicated to the appropriate city department.
I live close to the Macs Milk on Lasalle. There is a dairy truck making deliveries on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 4 am. The truck is left on at fast idle for an hour and sometimes longer. Is there an idle law, where they should shut down the truck? All the other trucks shut their engines off. I understand there is a bylaw forbidding deliveries before 8 am. from Barrydowne to Notre Dame along Lasalle. Maybe this can be extended all the way along Lasalle Blvd? Thanks, Bob….
