Great Ward 8 Cleanup Day!
The Ward 8 CAN had great weather today for its 2nd annual ward cleanup day – unlike last year, when it snowed!. A number of volunteers helped to clean many streetsĀ that had garbage in their ditches, or had garbage on the side of the street or on its boulevards. Twin Forks, the Carling Tot Lot and Westmount Playground were checked and cleaned as well.
There were a number of roads that had little or no garbage at all – kudos to the Ward 8 citizens who help to keep their neighbourhood clean.
Thank you to Fabio Belli, our ward Councillor, who helped us this morning, and who brought his family to help out as well.
A very special thanks to Gates Legault, our Ward 8 CAN Treasurer, who organized both last year’s and this year’s events. We appreciate all the time that you took to organize and promote this event.
Thanks also to all of the citizens who came out to help clean our ward. Your help was greatly appreciated.
The map below show the streets that were either cleaned, or had no garbage to pick up. The three green markers are the playgrounds that were cleaned.
Hope to see more people out next year!
