The New Sudbury Library invites families to join in the holiday spirit at a festive drop-in event on Sunday, December 10th, from 11 am to 1 pm. This event is a joint collaboration of the New Sudbury Ward 8 CAN and the New Sudbury West CAN. Activities for all ages will run in collaboration with Our Children Our Future, Better Beginnings Better Futures, Science North, and Sudbury library programming - this event promises a delightful array of activities for the whole family.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, including writing letters to Santa, science demonstrations, creating festive community chain decoration and snacks. The highlight of the event is a chance to meet and take pictures with Santa, creating lasting memories for children and adults alike.
Adding to the festive ambiance, live music performances by Philippe Mathieu and a spirited sing-along will enhance the holiday atmosphere throughout the event. Families are encouraged to bring their holiday cheer and join in the merriment.
In the spirit of giving, the event encourages attendees to bring non-perishable food donations for the Sudbury Food Bank. Let's come together as a community to ensure everyone has a happy holiday season this year. Monetary donations are also accepted and can also be made online at www.Sudburyfoodbank.ca/donate. Donation receipts will be available.
Ride for free! Attendees can travel to and from this event for no charge thanks to a partnership with the Greater Sudbury GOVA Transit Services. Riders can let their bus driver know that they are travelling to the New Sudbury Library for the “Festive Family” event for a free fare.
