A number of Ward 8 residents have reported bear sightings within the last few weeks. Bears have been sighted during the day as well as during nights. If you see a bear, and you feel that it is a threat to you or to your children, contact the Greater Sudbury Police Services. To discourage bears from our neighbourhoods, put out your garbage only in the morning of collection day, do not use bird feeders, and make sure that you clean out your BBQ grease after cooking.
