Art:

The art feature was installed in spring 2019 and was created by Johanna Westby, a world-class local artist, and Amanda Perry, a graduate of Design and Visual Arts program at Cambrian College. They worked with local school children at Holy Trinity Catholic School to collaboratively paint the mural. The hands are the hands of the children who helped to paint the mural. Participating in the project were the children of the late Councillor Fabio Belli, Emma and Brianna Belli.

The art reinforces how we work with children from our local schools at the community garden - to build roots into the future, and to provide them with skills and the joy to fly on their own.

Thank you!

Thank you to Bruce Tate Construction Ltd and CAN member Gates Legault for their freely-given time and effort in the installation of the frame for the art and the community garden sign, and to the City of Greater Sudbury for the Arts and Culture and Healthy Community Initiatives funding for the project.
