SUMMARY:Ward 8 CAN Municipal Election All Candidates Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday\, October 7\, 6:30 to 9:00 pm at Lasalle Secondary School (cafeteria) to listen to candidate priorities and hear their responses to your questions! Submit your questions ahead of time by sending filling in the form at ward8sudbury.ca/questions. One question per form please. Submissions are accepted until noon\, Sunday\, October 4. \nQuestions should be focused on matters relevant to Ward 8 or the City of Greater Sudbury. Questions will not be provided to candidates in advance.  \nAll of the candidates have accepted our invitation to attend:\nKaranbir Badhesha\nGeorge Lalonde\nCarla Ross-Arsenault\nShawn Rossi\nNatalie Tessier \nFor residents who are unable to attend in person\, Eastlink will broadcast the meeting and make the recording available on its YouTube channel the following day.\n \nMeeting format \nThe Ward 8 CAN is hosting the meeting as a neutral\, non-partisan community forum. Our role is to facilitate an opportunity for residents to hear from all registered candidates. The CAN does not endorse or oppose any candidate.  \n\nThe evening will begin with an opportunity for each candidate to introduce themselves and provide opening remarks.\nCandidates will then be asked to identify their top three priorities for Ward 8 and their top three priorities for the City of Greater Sudbury.\nThe meeting will then move to questions submitted by the community. The organizing team will review all submissions and consolidate similar questions so that common concerns can be addressed efficiently. \n\nTo provide a balanced format\, the order in which candidates respond will rotate throughout the evening\, ensuring that no candidate is consistently first or last to answer. \nThe meeting will follow a question-and-answer format.
